On Thursday's the Maid Rite in Clinton Iowa have a special on their Jr. Tenderloin sandwich's at .99 cents they are a steal. They are a smaller version of their regular tenderloin, but they are just as delicious and its the real deal not a fritter and they are hand breaded as you wait.
For those of you who are not from the area Maid Rite as been around since 1926 and has been serving their loose meat sandwiches since.
If your a fan of the Roseanne series these are the sandwich's that Jackie and Roseanne copied and opened their dinner with.
While we were waiting in the drive-thru I snapped this cool picture of the fire hydrant. I asked the man serving us and he assured me it is still operational.
